Hi all.

I've recently switched over to SuSe Linux from WinXP on a box at my work. I'm trying to get it to let me log in using my Active Directory credentials. I think I've done everything right, but when I try to log in, it doesn't work.

Logging in locally, I can issue kinit, and it works fine. Tells me:
kinit: NOTICE: ticket renewable lifetime is 1 hour

Issuing klist gives me:
Credentials cache: FILE:/tmp/krb5cc_1000
Principal: username@DOMAIN
Then it gives me issued and expires dates/times and the principal again.

I'd like to log into the system using my AD creds. Any ideas would be helpful.

Thanks!

OK I don't really know anything about logging into AD from Linux, but with my Fedora core 2 box that I was using at work for a while I did manage to get it to login using AD.
I did it with WinBind , it even created a a computer acct in AD , which surprised me no end.
It was a while ago I did it and my memory is vague as it was from instrucitons I've since lost,
but winbind should work.

Cool! I'll give that a try when I get to work tomorrow.
