Is there any freeware apps that tell you the temp of the CPU, whether the hard drives are spinning correctly etc.

May be a silly question but Im fixing someones pc that "freezes" every so often, ive been using it for hours ok. The only things I have done is the usual housekeeping stuff, plus windows updates etc.

Any ideas?

If he is using linux you can install Gkrellmd and the monitor it from a different computer. Might not be what you are looking for though.

I think there is a Krellm for windows that you can use but I dont know if Its compatiable with Gkrellm.

If you do find a free app that works well, please post a update.
