someone told me that there is a free google application that allows you to terminate calls on land lines for free. Is this true if so where can i find that software?

No this is not true. There are some sites which are providing free calls for some minutes like 5 to 10 minutes not for all time. i suggest you some sites which are providing free call for some minutes like globe7, EQO, geckoandfly etc

No these all are fake sites. Because they provides only trial calls for 1 or 2 minutes.

google voice is rather handy too - I run one of my businesses off it because it will ring every phone I have listed if I want it too - very handy
