Hi
IS bruteforce the only way to hack WPA?, i have been using bt4 with aircrack and cowpatty but had no look. I have got a massive dictionary password list that i have tried which was also no good. btw i am trying this on my own router.
But you were right it isn't, i came across a fine example of using pyrit with cowpatty heree is the link if any one is interested, it also makes an interesting read http://www.hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=155928

I believe that was the point of his reply. Had you asked what another way was to accomplish what you were trying to do, he likely would have given you a more detailed answer... as it is, he answered the question you asked
I believe there is some sort of way you can get the passphrase that comes as standard with sky and speedtouch routers as they use the BSSID to make the key. There are a few sites out there that allow the input of the ssid this will then give you the default key, .
I'm guessing that there are many people that don't change the passphrases from the default one.
